About Us

Family-owned since 1962, Chamberlain Septic & Sewer provides septic, sewer and excavation services across Monroe, Wayne & Ontario Counties.

From Milk to Mud.

In 1962, Gordon Beh was a dairy farmer who purchased a backhoe to do some needed drainage work around his dairy farm. Little did he know that his great work would capture the attention of his neighbors. By 1964, other farmers, friends and builders were asking him to do drainage work, install septic systems and install water services on their properties.

It didn’t take long for it to become clear that Gordon’s true calling was not milk, but mud. In 1966, he decided to leave the dairy business and concentrate exclusively on excavation work. Gordon incorporated his business name in 1970, becoming Gordon Beh Excavating Contractors, Inc. Installing septic systems was already a part of the business, so when he had the opportunity to purchase Chamberlain Septic Tank Service in 1972, it was the perfect complement to the excavating business and meant he could service the septic and sewer systems he installed.

The business is a family affair. Sons Dean and David joined their dad in the 1970s, and when Gordon retired in 1990, they carried on the longstanding family tradition of providing unsurpassed customer service as Chamberlain Septic and Gordon Beh Excavating.

Today, the legacy continues with Dean and David Beh at the helm, joined by their sons Brian and Jesse Beh. They continue to operate as Chamberlain Septic & Sewer from the original family farm in Webster.
